Guidance Department

The Guidance Department assists students by working with them one-on-one throughout their high school careers to help them attain their post-secondary goals, whether they are college bound or they plan to enter the trades or the military. The department also hosts various workshops throughout the year targeting relevant topics such as financial aid, applying to college, and more.

Schedule Distribution &
Textbook Pick Up

We encourage students to pick up their schedules and textbooks on the dates listed. Counselors will be available to make necessaryschedule adjustments.  Classes were scheduled based on student demand    during the enrollment process.  The deadline for  student initiated changes was March 19.  Since then, the Guidance Department and Administration have made staffing assignments and have balanced classes so that students have the opportunity to get the best education possible.  Schedule changes are especially difficult to make this year; therefore, will not be made to accommodate changes in teachers, course selections, lunches, study halls, or other changes for convenience.

Times for Sophomores-Seniors
Tuesday, August 10                 3-7 p.m.
Wednesday, August 11           1-6 p.m.

Students will receive schedules in the Guidance Office and then proceed to the Lower Library to pick up textbooks.  Please note that freshmen will get their schedules and books during the orientation on Tuesday, August 10.

Freshman Orientation

The Class of 2014 will be welcomed to the Home of the Eagles on Tuesday, August 10.  Students will arrive, using their regular bus routes, and report to the Main Gym.  In addition to getting schedules, books, PE uniforms, and locker assignments, students will become acquainted with the expectations and opportunities at LCHS.  The day will conclude at 11:30 AM.
