ANNOUNCEMENT — Career Shadowing Day: Juniors and seniors at Antioch Community High School and Lakes Community High School will be able to participate in Career Shadowing Day sponsored by the Antioch Rotary Club on Tuesday, April 29. This event gives students a chance to gain experience in a possible career of their choice. The main purpose of this program is career exploration for the future. The day begins at 7:45 a.m. when the students are invited to a continental breakfast to meet and become acquainted with the professional, as well as to listen to a presentation by a keynote speaker, to be determined yet. Career areas include police officers, newspaper reporters, firefighters, teachers, doctors, dentists, lawyers, and other professionals located in Antioch/Lake Villa/Lindenhurst and surrounding communities. The day concludes at 3 p.m. when the students are returned to their high schools by the professionals.
