| Welcome to P.E. 1. High school physical education is an adventure. Each day brings something new. We will have 7 sport/activity units, soccer, track, tsegball, basketball, dance, self-defense, and volleyball. Each unit is about 3 weeks in length. Skills will be taught, rules and history will be given, strategies will be reviewed, and participation will be fun. There will be worksheets and tests with each unit. Tuesdays are fitness activity days. We will work on all the different components of health related fitness. Each Thursday will be a classroom day. We use the book, Fitness for Life. You can access activities from the text at :fitnessforlife.org. Assignments will be done in class and at home. The book is used in all levels of physical education. By the time high school ends, you will have all of the tools you need to help you lead a healthy life. We also hope you find some time to have fun while getting fit. |
