Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE) – includes the ACT test
Who: all juniors must take the PSAE
Spring 2012 test dates: April 24-25.

ACT Test
Who: normally taken during the junior year; seniors can also take/retake the test
Test dates in 2011: September 10, October 22, December 10
Test dates in 2012: February 11, April 14, June 9

SAT Test
Who: normally taken during the junior year; seniors also may take/retake the test
Test dates in 2011: October 1, November 5, December 3
Test dates in 2012: January 28, March 10, May 5, June 2

Advanced Placement (AP) Tests
Who: open to all grades
Test dates in 2012: May 7 (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Psychology), May 8 (Computer Science A, Spanish Language, Art History), May 9 (Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chinese Language & Culture), May 10 (English Literature & Composition, Japanese Language & Culture, Latin: Vergil), May 11 (German Language & Culture, U.S. History, European History, Studio Art), May 14 (Biology, Music Theory, Physics B, Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism), May 15 (U.S. Government and Politics, Comparative Government and Politics, French Language & Culture), May 16 (English Language and Composition, Statistics), May 17 (Macroeconomics, World History, Microeconomics, Italian Language & Culture), May 18 (Human Geography, Spanish Literature)

PSAT/MNSQT Test
Who: sophomores can take the PSAT for practice; juniors must take it to qualify for National Merit Scholarship status
Test date in 2011: October 12

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
Who: for students interested in joining the military
When: November 7, sign up in September
