Spanish I students combine vocabulary lesson with - fashion?
Spanish I students flaunted their trendy "pantalones", "zapatos" and "camisas" (pants, shoes and shirts) during class fashion shows on Oct. 13 and 14 as part of a lesson on the language's vocabulary for clothing.
Working in small groups, Sra. Rachel Morales' students performed in front of their classmates in the LCHS theater, strutting, somersaulting and flexing their biceps as finger-snapping Spanish music played in the background. Each student had the opportunity to take the main stage for a moment or two, dressed in anything ranging from pink sparkly pants to mismatched, knee-high socks, as group members described his or her attire – in Spanish. |
