Homecoming 2005: 'A Hollywood Premiere'
LCHS kicked off “A Hollywood Premiere” Homecoming on Sept. 16 with an in-school pep rally. During the assembly, the Student Council Executive Board announced the elected class attendants and junior royalty as well as the Spirit Days planned for the school's first-ever Homecoming Week.
The 2005 Homecoming Court is as follows:
Junior King and Queen: Dan Ronsman and Erin Ruskin
Junior Duke and Duchess: Robert Giamalakis and Ashley Beadle
Junior Lord and Lady: Nick Ilich and Chani Bockwinkel
Sophomore Attendants: Cassia Gass and Mike Seay
Freshmen Attendants: Sammie Hough and Kaleb Hacker

The court rode in the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Sept. 17, as did various school teams, clubs and organizations.
Among other scheduled activities for the week was a Jell-o Eating Contest during lunch periods. The Sophomore Class also organized a Football Player Raffle; volunteer football players will carry raffle winners’ books for an entire day. Both games cost $1 to participate, and proceeds will benefit the entire student body for Prom and other events.
Ticket sales for the Homecoming Dance, which will wrap up the festivities, began this week at $12 per person or $20 per couple. The semi-formal event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 from 7-10 p.m. in the LCHS gymnasium. Students are welcome to bring guests who do not attend LCHS, but they must complete a form in the office prior to the dance.
