Miss Illinois speaks on strangers, involvement during high school
Miss Illinois 2005 visited LCHS on Dec. 6 to talk to junior students about being cautious around strangers.
Lauren Allen spoke on the different strategies strangers use to lure young people into their grasps, from telling lies to playing on a victim’s emotions.
The 21-year-old, a junior at Indiana State University who is studying nursing, also touched upon life after high school, offering advice on building resumes by getting involved in school activities and community service projects.
Allen will compete in the Miss America 2006 pageant in Las Vegas on Jan. 21.
