Music students earn high marks at state contest
On Saturday, April 16, musical groups from LCHS and ACHS participated in state contest at Waukegan High School. Congratulations to the LCHS concert band and District 117 jazz choir, who participated in the IHSA sponsored Organizational Contest.
The jazz choir, directed by Keith Cox and Collette Todd, earned a Division I rating with a perfect score issued from one of the three judges. The concert band, directed by Matthew Kastor, also earned straight Division I ratings, avering a score of 37.5 our of 40 points from four judges.
Congratulations to the concert band and jazz choir students from both ACHS and LCHS.
