sales raise money for local charity
Teacher
Carla Thompson's Advisory is continuing to support Kids
Hope United (formerly Central Baptist Children's Home).
Her students are
selling blue "Hope Bands" to raise money to help buy necessities
and toys for kids who come to the facility with just the clothes they
are wearing.
In the fall, the
students made receiving blankets and fleece throws and donated them to
Kids Hope United. At that time they also decided to continue their service
learning project by selling silicone bracelets.
The advisory in
now selling the bands for $2, with all proceeds going to Kids Hope United.
Anyone interested in supporting this charity can see any student in Mrs.
Thompson's Advisory or at lunch in the cafeteria.
