PSAE and NWEA week wasn't all about testing; much of it also involved learning, laughing, relaxing and playing.
Jim "Basketball" Jones was the guest speaker for freshman and sophomore advisory classes on the morning of April 26. Jones used his jokes and skills with a basketball - and, at times, many basketballs - to demonstrate to students how to listen, problem solve and make appropriate choices in their lives. Students and staff participated in an advanced game of Simon Says and various basketball tricks, contests and relay games.
Advisories also competed against each other in dodgeball and Jeopardy, and they reflected on the closing school year and began setting goals for next year. Before taking their NWEA tests, the classes took time to relax by going outside for a walk or sharing their favorite relaxing music with their classmates. |
