The Student Council collected a total of 1,800 items during last week’s food drive, which ended April 13. Freshman and sophomore advisories, junior study halls, and at least one academic class competed to bring in the most items to win a class pizza party, courtesy of the Student Council.
Adviser Curt Onstad’s class won the competition, collecting 934 items. Teacher Sophia Vatistas' AP Biology class placed second with 567 items.
The Student Council donated the items to the Open Arms Food Pantry, which serves residents of Antioch and Lake Villa Townships. |
