"A Night in New Orleans" Homecoming continues this week with spirit days, the powder puff games, an evening pep rally/bonfire, and the football game against North Chicago on Sept. 29. Athletic teams, school clubs and local businesses rode in the parade on Sept. 23.
The semi-formal Homecoming Dance will be held in the gym from 7-10 p.m. on Sept. 30. Tickets will be sold for $15 during lunch periods starting Sept. 20. Two dollars from every ticket will be donated to Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans, which continues to experience a set-back as a result of Hurricane Katrina more than a year ago. Student Council selected this year's Homecoming theme to honor the high school and others affected by the disaster.
A photographer will be available at the dance for couple and group shots; package options will be distributed as students buy their tickets. Students may bring guests from other schools after completing the appropriate paperwork in the main office before the dance.
