Key Club ends year with cleanup service project
 The Key Club cleaned up litter around the school building on May 22 as its last service project of the year. The group, one of 5,000 high school Key Club International organizations across the globe, is part of parent organization Kiwanis International. Key Club's motto: "Caring -- Our Way of Life".
In the LCHS group's inaugural year, members organized several srvice projects, including face painting at RJ's Eatery in Lindenhurst during the Christmas season and an Easter Egg hunt. They also created Valentine's Day cards for local preschool students. Sponsors Christy Werderitch nd Christine Gialo said the group hopes to develop more project ideas for next year. |
