The incoming Freshman Class took a stroll around LCHS on the evening of Jan. 25 to get acquainted with Eagle culture.
Accompanied by their parents and guardians, the eighth grade students browsed through the cafeteria to talk to coaches and sign up for more information about athletic summer camps. The Commons was designated for school clubs and organizations, including National Honor Society, Art Club, FCCLA, and Operation Snowball. The Jazz Choir welcomed passers-by to observe a rehearsal, and Drama Club members advertised the upcoming musical, The Music Man. Department Leaders opened up their classrooms to introduce the students to course textbooks and discuss expectations.
The incoming Freshman Class of approximately 300 students will bring the total enrollment to about 1,200 students next year - the first year LCHS will house all four high school grade levels. |
