Board accepts Crist's resignation
The District 117 school board accepted the resignation of Dr. Robert Crist as principal of LCHS during its meeting on March 2. Crist submitted a letter of resignation to Superintendent Jay Sabatino's office on Feb. 28, citing "personal reasons". Sabatino said the district will begin accepting applications to fill the position and will create a committee of staff and parents to assist in the interview process.
Crist has been the principal of LCHS since the school first opened its doors in the fall of 2004.
