Junior Class prepares to 'Put on the Ritz' at Prom on May 6
 Juniors modeled prom dresses and tuxedoes from local businesses on March 22 to promote Lakes’ Junior Prom. The “Putting on the Ritz” 1920’s themed prom will be held at Lehmann Mansion on Saturday, May 6 from 7-11 p.m. Post-prom will be a cruise on the boat Free Spirit on Lake Michigan, leaving from Burnham Harbor in downtown Chicago. The cruise will include food, beverages, entertainment and music. Students will arrive back at the school at 5 a.m. Students planning to attend post-prom must complete a waiver form.
Prom tickets go on sale April 3-7 and will be $65 per person and $130 per couple. Students must fill out a Prom ticket application before purchasing tickets. Non-students are welcome to attend with the proper paperwork, which must be turned in prior to ticket purchase. All paperwork and tickets will be available in the main office.
The Junior Class has been fundraising for this formal dance since the beginning of the school year, hosting events such as Battle of the Bands and a variety show.
