The Class of 2007 has sent out nearly 500 college applications, which is an accomplishment the Guidance Department believed warranted a Senior Celebration Week.
So the counselors organized one.
As part of the festivities, teachers filled out forms with information about the colleges and universities they attended and why they chose them. Some seniors who have already accepted admission into a college or university also completed the form, which were hung outside of the guidance office for student passers-by to read.
On Wednesday, staff members wore their t-shirts and sweatshirts from their alma maters and talked for a few minutes to juniors and seniors about their undergraduate experiences and the transition from high school to college. Counselors also prepared a treat day for seniors.
