Foods students whip up Thanksgiving treats
Foods I students baked pumpkin muffins during class on Nov. 21 in preparation for the biggest food holiday of the year — Thanksgiving. The class also baked apple pies and sampled their delectable creations the following week.
Teacher Laurie Ireland said she expects her students
to help in the kitchen at home throughout the semester as part of their grade. Thanksgiving is one opportunity for them to do that. Students have to complete a form that includes a parent or guardian's signature to show when they took time at home to cook or bake.
Thanksgiving break begins Nov. 23; classes resume on Nov. 27. |
