Students and staff are expressing their appreciation of friends, colleagues and that special someone this week with the gift of a candy-gram or a flower in celebration of Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.
The Sophomore Class is selling candy-grams that include a message and a candy heart bracelet for 50 cents each during lunch hours. Proceeds will help pay for the Sophomore Class prom. Snowball is selling flowers for $1 each before and after school and during lunch hours on Valentine's Day.
Also marking this holiday of hug, kiss and greeting card giving is the Turnabout Dance on Feb. 25. Girls ask the guys to be their date for this semi-formal event sponsored by the Freshman Class. The dance is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. in what will be a dimly lit gym. This year's theme is "Under the Stars." Tickets go on sale in the cafeteria during lunch hours beginning Feb. 21. The cost is $12 per person or $15 per couple. |
