It was a close call for the seniors.
At the beginning of their powder puff match-up against the juniors on Sept. 11, it appeared the younger squad was going to pull off an easy win. The juniors continued to drive the ball on offense; the seniors struggled. Then, senior Elisha Alto intercepted a pass and scored. And then scored again! The seniors ended the game with victory, 16-0.
The scenario was nearly the same for the sophomore vs. freshmen game. The freshmen got out ahead with an 8-0 lead, but two interceptions by the sophomore team changed the pace of the game. The sophomores won 14-8.
There were two, 20-minute halves, running clock, for both games. The teams have been practicing about once a week since the start of the school year under the direction of their faculty coaches.
