Students sent home early due to power loss
Students were dismissed from school just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday due to nearly two hours of power failure. The power went out at 10:45 a.m. and did not come back on until just before 12:30 p.m. The power outage meant that the school could not serve food to students during lunch, so they had to be sent home, Principal Jim McKay said. Normal bus routes were available for those students who do not drive to school.
Most athletic practices were held beginning at 1 p.m. Also, the boys' volleyball game scheduled for home was moved to away, at Warren High School. |
