Lake Villa community gets Taste of the Talents
 Students in the Fine Arts Department and supporters of their programs are organizing an extensive arts festival that they hope will become an annual event. Taste of the Talents is scheduled to take place on Oct. 21 from noon to 7 p.m. at LCHS. There is no cost to attend.
Anyone in the school community is invited to apply to perform an act, display artwork or offer a workshop for their various artistic talents, including dancing, singing, film, acting, visual art, culinary arts and more.
Organizers hope the festival will create more community exposure to the fine arts and what those subject areas offer students.
The Lindenhurst-Lake Villa Fine Arts Council and Friends of the Arts also are lending their efforts and resources to make the event successful and a long-running tradition.
