District 117 is participating in a survey of parents, students and teachers about the use of technology in schools. The survey, an annual national research project called Speak Up, is being conducted by Project Tomorrow, a non-profit group that advocates innovative uses of science, math and technology resources.
The survey is open until December 21 and has separate questions for students and adults. It asks about current uses of technology and gathers opinions about needs and priorities. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Technology director Gregg Henning said the district will use the results of the survey for planning and to update the district’s official technology plan, which is up for revision.
