$40,000 in auction items up for grabs at 2nd annual Booster Bash, scheduled for April 26
Anyone who attends the 2nd annual Booster Bash on April 26 could vie for a vacation to the Wisconsin Dells, Palm Springs, the Ozarks and Michigan during the evening's live auction.
Members of the Booster Club have solicited more than $40,000 in donated auction items for the live and silent auctions; this is $20,000 more than last year's $20,000.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the American Aid Society in Lake Villa, on Grand Avenue just east of Cedar Lake Road.
This is the first time the event will be held at an off-campus site. Each $25 ticket includes a buffet dinner with dessert, music and entertainment performed by students, and the opportunity to participate in raffles and auctions. Other items up for auction include restaurant gift certificates, food and garden baskets, electrical items, scrapbook baskets, tickets to sporting events, and more.
Money raised is disbursed to various academic, art, and athletic programs. Last fall, the Booster Club provided $12,000 to these programs, largely because of the success of last year's gala.
Ticket orders are due April 20. Click here for an order form. Tickets also will be sold during the National Honor Society induction on April 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
