Freshmen vote on class flag; winning design to hang in commons
 Freshmen Darius Tumminello and Mark Beadle's creative design won the flag contest for the Class of 2012.
Members of the Freshman Class chose the flag design, entitled "The Flame Will Burn On," during an online vote late last month. The flag consists of an eagle of blue flame poised to fly off in front of the American Flag with the words “The Flame Will Burn On” beside it.
“Darius and I wanted a cool flag to represent our class,” said Beadle. “I believe our flag represents how our class will bring new ideas and a great new athletic team to Lakes while still continuing the older traditions.”
Each advisory class participated in the competition, using markers and colored pencils or electronic programs for their creations. Beadle and Tumminello are part of Tiffany Magliola's advisory.
Tumminello and Beadle's design will hang in the commons next semester alongside the other class flags.
