The Junior Class buffed up its record to 3-0 Wednesday night after embarrassing the seniors in the anticipated powder-puff game.
The 26-0 blowout was led by junior Kecia Morway, who scored three touchdowns for her class. The juniors took an early lead after Morway juked her way through the defense for an 80-yard touchdown in the first minutes of play.
It was the suffocating defense of the Junior Class that made the shutout possible. The juniors dominated, allowing a minimal amount of yards, and consistently stopping the seniors' attempted advancements.
Kelly Dean also scored a touchdown for the juniors.
The freshmen also pulled out an upset over the sophomores and won by a considerable margin.
Both games were fabulously commentated by the facetious Kurt Rowells, Social Studies teacher and coach.
During the pep rally/bonfire on Sept. 25, seniors Bob Gumler and Jessi Gonzalez were named Homecoming King and Queen. The coronation ceremony will take place during the "Jungle Fever" dance on Sept. 27 from 7-10 p.m. Other members of the Homecoming court:
Freshman Attendants: Jake Meeks and Maggie Becker
Sophomore Attendants: Nicholas Gass and Katie Chrapla
Junior Attendants: Nate Styx and Christina Guess
Senior Royalty: Jacoby Becker, Billy D. Brown, Jessica Frenzel, and Kayla Menheer
