Fuller named Mr. LCHS
Senior B.J. Fuller was crowned Mr. LCHS during the third annual event on Friday, Feb. 22. Fuller won the hearts of the judges in many of the competitive categories, especially the talent portion of the show in which he performed a hip-hop dance alongside his little sister. Fuller also won the audience when he ran across the stage in his track uniform at random moments throughout the show — after all, he's constantly training to become a professional runner some day, or at least according to his career wear performance.
Other winners of the evening included junior Paul Vickers, who captured the Jr. Mr. LCHS crown; junior Mark McGinnis, who was named Mr. Congeniality; and senior Chawkeen Graham, who won Mr. Talent for his performance of Josh Groban's "When You Say You Love Me". Other contestants included seniors Brian Mooney, Aaron Piekarz, Dante Soto, Robbie Bock, Andre Gidney and junior Erik Stone.
The evening, hosted by junior Pat Adamek and senior Yuri Bockwinkel, as well as the Turnabout Dance on Feb. 23 concluded the Battle of the Sexes-themed Spirit Week. During a pep rally on Feb. 22, the girls came out the victors after beating the boys in a Name that Song contest, a relay race, and other activities. |
