Pre-Prom assembly warns about drunk driving
 Juniors and seniors watched their bloodied peers get loaded into ambulances and the dead get covered with a white cloth during a pre-Prom assembly on May 1. The purpose of the assembly was to demonstrate to students what might happen when people drink and drive as well as to encourage good decision-making at this year's Prom on Saturday, May 3.
As rescue workers from the local police and fire departments carefully pulled victims from dilapidated cars, one student actor failed a series of drunk tests, such as walking a straight line and reciting the ABCs. Flight for Life also landed on the soccer field to pick up a badly injured victim.
After the area was cleared of victims, "friends" of the victims expressed their grief at losing a loved one. |
