Buy tickets now for Feb. 7 Battle of the Bands
 Six student bands will compete in the annual Battle of the Bands, sponsored by the Junior Class.
Double Take, Taken the Coast, Shut Your Mouth, Luv Machine, Against All Odds, and Dare of the Day each will perform about three songs during its 15 minutes in the spotlight. The event is scheduled for Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The winning band will be selected by a panel of judges, comprising area music experts. This band will win a main stage performance at Six Flags Great America as well as a full day of free recording at Skies Fall Studios. The audience also will choose a separate winning band, which will earn a performance at Celebration Day in May.
Tickets can be purchased in the main office for $5 in advance; they also will be sold at the door for $7. A limited amount of t-shirts will be sold at the event for $10, and concessions will be available.
