UPDATE: Return your EKG waiver forms by Feb. 12
Young Hearts for Life
Whether or not students are planning to participate in the Feb. 18 EKG screening, they should turn in their response and waiver forms to the school by Feb. 12.
Response and waiver forms recently were mailed home along with a letter to parents and informational handouts about EKGs.
The EKG screenings are funded by the Max Schewitz Foundation. The Young Hearts for Life EKG screening program also is made possible by the joint efforts of the Midwest Heart Foundation and community physicians.

Many parents have volunteered to help run the EKG screening in areas such as registration, processing, and a component of the EKG tests. Volunteers will be supervised and trained by medical professionals.
EKGs are non-invasive, completely painless tests that detect certain heart conditions unable to be detected with a stethoscope.
For more information about the screening at LCHS, contact Nancy Clutter or Mark Ring, P.E. Department Chair.
