Students sing karaoke for Music in Our Schools Month
 "I Love Rock and Roll" blared in the cafeteria — twice in one lunch period — as students sang along with a karaoke video game to kick-off Music in Our Schools Month.
Every Friday throughout the month of March, live music will play during lunch periods. Karaoke took the main stage on March 6, and the Jazz Band and Jazz Choir are expected to perform later this month.
Additionally, students will listen to popular American tunes from all of the decades during passing periods. This week was dedicated to the 1960s and featured the Beach Boys among other groups.
The Music Department also encourages the school community to attend upcoming student concerts: the Symphonic Band Concert on March 19 and Jazz Night on March 26.
