More LCHS seniors than ever have been named State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Fifty-five members of the Class of 2010 earned the honor because of their high ACT scores, class ranks, and grade point averages. Thirty-nine students received the same recognition in the Class of 2009.
The State Scholars received a congratulatory letter in addition to a free online subscription to Encyclopedia Britannica. Additionally, the students will be recognized at the next Eagle Pride breakfast and during Honors Night in the spring.
