Volley for the Cure raises money for breast cancer research
The District 117 girls' volleyball teams are sponsoring the third annual Volley for the Cure on Friday, Oct. 16. This Eagles vs. Sequoits match-up doubles as a fundraiser for breast cancer research. Money from t-shirt sales, raffles, pink ribbon items and more are donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the global leader of the breast cancer research movement. In the two past years, the event has raised about $12,000.
The black and hot pink t-shirts are on sale for $10. Click here for a pre-order form, which is due on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The volleyball programs ask that fans wear their t-shirts to the games on Oct. 16 at LCHS. The sophomore game begins at 5 p.m., and the varsity game follows at 6 p.m. |
