LCHS takes second place in annual attendance competition

LCHS took second place in the high school category at the annual Attendance Week competition, sponsored by the Lake County Regional Office of Education. An average of 95.09 percent of the student body was in attendance each day during the competition week in October. Lake Zurich High School took first place in the competition with a 96.34 percent average attendance.
The awards ceremony was held at the College of Lake County on Friday, Dec. 3. Dean Aryan Dohman and three students with perfect attendance represented the Eagles at the luncheon. The students were junior Alyssa Tillich and sophomores Neil Hughes and Jessica Sherwin.
Parents, teachers, students, and administrators gathered in the auditorium to recognize Lake County’s highest attendance rated schools in several categories for different sized elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. A total of 109 schools entered in the competition.
