"Come Sail Away" Homecoming 2010 started last Friday, Sept. 17 with a kick-off pep rally and continued on Sunday with the Homecoming parade through Lindenhurst. The Homecoming Court was announced at the pep rally: freshman attendants are Nick Battaglia and Chloe Derrick;
sophomore attendants are John Mitchell and Lynn Twarowski;
junior attendants are Brad Scheffler and Tanya France; and senior royalty members are Nick Hibbing, Mackenzie Derrick,
John Pfeiffer, Jessica Quinn, Prince Miles and Dana Ollendick. The king and queen will be announced at the pep rally/bonfire, which begins Thursday at 7 p.m. in the football stadium. Many other events and activities are scheduled throughout the week, including Spirit Days, the Powder Puff games on Wednesday, the evening pep rally/bonfire, and the Homecoming football games vs. Zion-Benton. The festivities culminate with a semi-formal dance on Saturday from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are being sold during lunch periods for $15 each or two for $25; tickets will not be sold at the door, and students who want to bring a guest from another school must complete paperwork available in the main office.
