School's out for summer!
 Summer break started on a hot note on May 26, with the week's temperatures reaching up to 90 degrees. Students took finals and returned their textbooks during the morning hours of exam week then headed home to study or celebrate the end of the school year during the warm afternoon.
Even though school is out for summer, students should keep some school business in mind during their break.
Semester grades will be mailed home the first week in June.
Families are reminded to return registration materials by Monday, July 19. Materials can be mailed to the school or dropped off in the main office. Students received their registration materials at school in mid-May. Some forms also are available for download on the Registration Information page.
Other helpful information: Summer school registration is due Friday, June 4. Summer school will take place at ACHS, and summer enrichment and summer driver education will take place at LCHS. Summer office hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Schedule and textbook distribution for 2010-2011 will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 3-7 p.m. and Wednesday, August 11 from 1-6 p.m. Freshmen are expected to attend orientation on Tuesday, August 10 from 7:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Students who need to apply for a work permit should call ahead to schedule an appointment. |
