Senior Mitchell Post was crowned Mr. LCHS on Friday, March 5 for his dazzling performance on the keyboard and his impressive short answer response.
Post entertained audience members by playing their song requests on his keyboard during the talent portion of the male "beauty" contest. Other categories included swimwear, formal wear, casual wear, and short answer.
Teachers Jamie Collins, Caleb Parnin, Mike Gedville, and Scott Leverentz judged the event, and the seven contestants helped to select the Mr. Congeniality winner — junior Myrin Morrow. Mr. Talent went to senior Anthony Perretti, who humored the audience with his rendition of "The Tiger Song" from the popular movie The Hangover. Perretti played the piano and sang.
Ashleigh Honaker, Senior Class sponsor, said everything ran smoothly and perhaps more smoothly than ever.
"Everyone was very well prepared," she said.
Because Mr. LCHS conflicts with the boys' basketball state tournament, Honaker said, the date of the event might be changed next year so Mr. LCHS and the basketball team do not have to compete for fans. |
