Cheerleaders organize jean drive to help local teenagers
The varsity and JV cheerleading teams are collecting gently used jeans as part of Aeropostale's "Teens for Jeans" campaign in an effort to give back to the community. Jeans will be accepted from now until Feb. 12 and will be donated to a local homeless shelter for teens, said varsity coach Brittany Wiegel. One out of every three homeless people is under the age of 18.
Students will receive one 25 percent off coupon from Aeropostale for every pair of jeans they donate. If LCHS collects 500 pairs of jeans, the school will receive a banner, and if LCHS collects the most jeans out of any school, then the school will get a pizza party.
Jeans can be dropped in the boxes in the cafeteria and the main office. |
